Description
The smoky quartz Jawan ring is individually handmade, a one-of-a-kind piece. The ring features a beautiful smoky quartz surrounded by small, rough diamonds that make the main stone stand out and give it a shine that will get noticed. The band, on the other hand, has been made using the traditional Jawan technique consisting of beads being attached to the piece one by one, making this ring impossible to replicate. On the inside, the engravings are Timor motifs, making this piece one filled with details.
India was a prominent supplier of gems to the world until the 19th century. Precious metals and minerals from the high mountains attracted adventure-minded explorers and dealers. The intense trade between India and Afghanistan, Persia, Soviet Asia, Tibet, and Ceylon also served as an important source of inspiration, contributing to the variety of gemstones set in antique pieces.
