Description
Exchanging jewels was a common practice between the kings of India and rulers of other countries.
Indian custom agents advised their emissaries to take presents with them in order to catch foreign ruler’s attention. In turn, visitors were often gifted with Indian jewellery. Adjusting to the demands of their affluent clientele, Indian craftsmen combined traditionaltechniques with westerns designs and shapes. Merging the taste of Occident with the typical manufacturing techniques from India gave birth to a plentiful fusion which resulted in the creation of exotic and stunning jewelled adornments.
