Description
Handcrafted in sterling silver, this striking pendant features a luminous prasiolite gemstone that brings depth and subtle color to the design. Inspired by the traditional multi-ring necklaces of the Miao mountain tribes, its engraved details reflect a rich silversmithing heritage where jewelry served as a symbol of identity, protection, and prosperity.
Measuring approximately 75 mm in length with a top width of 25 mm, and weighing approximately 24 g, the pendant combines a bold presence with everyday wearability. The engraved motifs, enhanced by a darkened patina, highlight the intricate craftsmanship and decorative traditions that have characterized Miao jewelry for generations.
The Miao people are renowned for their elaborate silver adornments, with ceremonial jewelry ensembles often including dozens of pieces and weighing between 6 and 9 kg. Handmade in our Bali workshop, this pendant pays tribute to that extraordinary tradition through a contemporary design rooted in cultural heritage and artisan craftsmanship.
