Description
The Bazuband Silver Pendant is handcrafted in sterling silver (925) and draws inspiration from the historic Bazuband, a traditional Indian arm ornament composed of articulated decorative sections and traditionally worn on the upper arm. Reinterpreted as a pendant, the design preserves the structured rhythm and ornamental character that made these pieces distinctive within Mughal jewellery traditions.
Measuring 48 mm in length and weighing approximately 14 g, the pendant features finely engraved details enhanced by subtle oxidised accents that create depth and contrast across the silver surface. Its elongated silhouette and carefully balanced proportions highlight the precision of artisan craftsmanship while giving the piece a strong yet elegant presence.
A special detail of this pendant is its delicately engraved reverse side, allowing it to be worn on either side. Whether displaying the front design or the engraved back, the piece offers versatility while showcasing the same level of craftsmanship throughout.
Inspired by a tradition that celebrated creativity, ornamentation and skilled metalwork, this pendant transforms the decorative language of the Bazuband into a timeless sterling silver design suitable for everyday wear or special occasions.
